Monument record TQ 67 SW 1503 - Room 10508 and flue in the Ebbsfleet Roman Villa Bath-House

Summary

Room 10508 was a later addition to the Roman Villa Bath-House identified during excavations in advance of the CTRL HS1. This room was added to the east of Room 10509 along with an additional flue. Oom 10508 was a hot room with stacks of tile and opus signinum built on top of the floor to form the hypocaust. The walls were coated with successive layers of chalk and tile and pointed with opus signinum. (1)
