Full Description

A smock mill dated to 1720 built of brick and tarred weatherboarding. The mill was partly rebuilt in 1798 after the cap was blown off in a gale. The mill ceased work with wind in 1918 after the sails became unsafe, but it continued to work into the 1930's with an oil engine. The mill was finally pulled down in 1943, with the base being converted into a house in the mid-late 20th century. (1-3)
