A cropmark of probable airfield identifier east of Swingate Radar Station, St Margaret's-at-Cliffe. Most clearly visible on the 1990 aerial photography, the feature has a solid central circle c. 55m in diameter, and a perimeter ring c.140m diameter. This is probably an airfield identifier, i.e. a circle with the airfield name in it, that seem to be characteristic of the inter-war years (the 1920s and 1930s). There is or was a similar feature at Hawkinge and at Lyminge.
