Site of Synagogue, Windmill Hill. The building is shown on the 1862-1875 Ordnance Survey map. Appears to have been demolished post 1880. The site remained vacant till the 1929-1952 map, when a terrace of houses is shown. After demolition the Synagogue removed to the Tivoli hotel, on Windmill Street in 1865, became an academy for Jewish youths and a synagogue. The Tivoli remained in this use until the outbreak of war in 1914.
