Cropmark of probable early medieval cemetery and associated Prehistoric ring ditch, visible on Google Earth 2019 aerial photographs west of Seamark Road and north of Monckton Road Farm. (1)
The cropmarks of the probable early medieval cemetery describe by the previous authority have been identified and mapped fromGoogle Earth 2019 aerial photographs as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024. The locations of at least 25 individual graves could be seen. The southern part of the cemetery is cut through by the fragmeted remains of a trackway of uncertain ditch and a polygonal ditched enclosure, also of uncertain date is located at the SW corner of the spread of graves. The cropmark of one grave sits within the enclosure, but grave and enclosure could be non-contemporaneous. These individual elements have been recorded separately. (2)
