Monument record TQ 65 NE 4 - Romano-British cremation burial, West Malling

Summary

In 1934 a Romano-British cremation was discovered in the garden of a house called "Rathshan." The find included an urn full of ashes, one poppy head beaker, two orange/redware flagons, an early 2nd century flask(incomplete) with rouletted decoration, two Samian dishes, a Castor ware beaker and miscellaneous sherds of pottery. The items are kept at Maidstone Museum. See also TQ 65 NE 7
