Full Description

`The THAIS, Appleby, from Sheerness to Penryn, in ballast, was driven on shore in Margate Bay, on Sunday, with loss of both anchors and cables, foremast and bowsprit.' (2)

`The THAIS, Appleby, from Sheerness to Penryn, which was driven on shore in Margate Bay on Sunday, was got off yesterday morning, without having sustained any damage in her hull, and carried into Margate Harbour.' (3)
