Full Description

Whilst lying becalmed, this ketch rigged barge was attacked by a German submarine at 3.45pm. which fired three shots at her. The crew took to their boat and after questioning the master, sank the vessel with a bomb hung over the side on the starboard fore chain plates. The crew were then allowed to make off, being picked up at 9pm. by the same patrol vessel that rescued the survivors of the sailing vessel UTOPIA, sunk by the same submarine, also by gunfire 15 minutes later.
