Vertical Datum: LAT ATLANTIC possibly sank following a collision with British SS BURDALE in fog. 18-DEC-1928 Collision 3 miles north of Varne Light. 16-NOV-1961 Depth 53ft in 85ft scour 15ft. 26-JUN-1963 Dispersal contract placed (th 19-JUN-1963) 19-FEB-1964 Salvage operations. 16-SEP-1964 Wreck dispersed to a least depth of 59ft 29-JUN-1972 Dispersed, contract with Salvage and Cable (Folkestone) Ltd to clear to 70ft. 17-OCT-1977 in 50 59 50N, 001 19 25E, Depth 22.9m in general depth 26m, scour 31m height 3.7m, length 95m, lying 000/180 deg. Charted as wreck 22m.
