The finds included a late Neolithic to early Bronze Age ripple flaked barb and tang flint arrowhead (circa. 2500 BC – 1800 BC), a flint core of probable Mesolithic/Neolithic date, and chips, flakes and bladelets. At least some of the flints were stratifiied below the furnace levels. "Flint is not found in the local geology so must be imported". (1)
