Monument record TR 01 NE 243 - Post-medieval remains, Dungeness Redoubt
Summary
An archaeological evaluation carried out in 2018 found the remains of a small building, found in trench 1, that is believed to have been built in the late 18th century and demolished in the early 20th century. The remains were in good condition but could not be convincingly matched to existing historic maps. A subsequent watching brief also found remains of the 18th and 19th century use of the site.
