Full Description

In 2005 an archaeological evaluation discovered three Romano-British graves, probably dating to before AD 200. Two were orientated north-south and one east-west. Grave [84] was badly preserved. Grave [27] was better preserved and contined hobnails, coffin nails and was sealed by a deposit containing Roman pottery. The third grave [125] was poorly preserved and a single Roman sherd was found in its fill. (1)
