Full Description
An archaeological evaluation carried out in 2005 found remains close to the surface that may represent part of a monastic lodging. In trench 2 a dwarf wall and post pad were found. No dating evidence was found but the general appearance was medieval in nature. It is known that chambers once ran across the site and so the excavators concluded that the wall may represent part of these, constructed by Prior Hathbrand in 1342. (1)
