Monument record TQ 67 SW 1590 - Gully associated with the site of Early Roman building, Springhead, Northfleet

Summary

Excavation in 2000-2002 revealed a group of features that probably belonged to the same complex which is likely to have originated in the 1st century and continued in use into the mid-Roman period. The focus of these features is suggested to have been a timber structure, Approximately 6 m upslope from the building were two shallow gullies, and a third gully which was located to the south east which likely marked a boundary of some sort. (location accurate to the nearest 1m based on available information)
