Full Description
Chantry House was built in 1905 on part of the former curtilage of The Chantry, which it abuts. The building is set back from the road behind a small garden with extravagant topiary hedge and a separate entrance featuring gate piers with stone balls. The two storey building, with added room in the roof, was designed in William-and-Mary style, to match the style of The Chantry, and is built of red brick under a hipped tiled roof with wide, heavy dentilled eaves cornices. The windows have square-paned leaded casements. (1)
