Full Description

No. 53 is attached to the cottages at 51 and 52 and likewise built of roughly coursed ironstone under a slate roof. However the window and door dressings are of yellow brick and the side elevation is of yellow brick with ragstone panels. The building also has higher ceilings since it is at least six feet taller than the semis next door, and this is not due to the slope of the ground. No. 53 is double fronted and there is little evidence to indicate that it was once a pair of cottages. The multi-paned sash windows are of different proportions to those in the cottages but would appear to be in their original positions. (1)
