Full Description
A possible second world war bomb shelter can be seen from the road. It comprises a corrugated metal structure buried in the steep bank of the garden, and is now used as a small garage. It is not an Anderson shelter, but may have been a similar but less standardised bomb shelter. These were typically built by the owners of larger houses, who had the space, materials and labour to hand to build their own. (1)
