Monument record TR 34 NW 351 - Poison Down Second World War anti-aircraft battery
Summary
An anti-aircraft battery was constructed at Poison Down (the battery is sometimes known locally as Church Farm Battery). It seems to have been constructed in 1944 as part of the campaign against the V1 weapons but the guns were probably never installed. Some of the structures survived until at least 1989.
