`The CATHARINE, Edwards, from Shields to Grenada, is on shore near Walmer Castle, and it is feared will go to pieces.' (1)

`Deal, Dec. 27. During the tremendous gale last ngiht, the brig CATHARINE, Edwards, of London, from Shields, bound to Grenada, with coals, broke from her anchors, and run on shore near this place, where she now lies a mere wreck. Tomorrow they intend trying to get out the cargo, but it is feared very little will be saved.' (2)
