Full Description
An archaeological evaluation carried out in 1999 found deposits related to the period preceeding, and during the construction of Milner Court. Desposits and features including gravel metalling, a flint cobbled surface, pits, brick rubble, and the remains of a brick building (probably an outhouse) evidenced by two truncated wall foundations. The building is thought to have been constructed in 1790-1, following the partial demolition of Milner Court. Other features at the site include a rubbish pit or backfilled well. Deposits at the site consist of oyster shell, tile and crushed gravel. (1)
