Full Description

An archaeological evaluation carried out at The Almonry in 2012 found what may have been a medieval cess tank or sewer in a borehole. The evidence consisted of cess material with a chalk block, perhaps from a lining, c. 2.7 to 2.9 m below ground level (1)
