Monument record TR 15 NE 1910 - Late Saxon buried soil and stakeholes, Rhodaus Town
Summary
Archaeological excavation in 2013/14 found a buried soil dating to the late Saxon period (c. AD 850-1066) across most of the site and a group of c. 160 stakeholes in the east of the site. The purpose of the stakeholes is unknown as they did not seem to form a coherent structure or pattern.
