Monument record TQ 53 NE 460 - Former brickworks, Hawkenbury Farm
Summary
By the tithe map of 1846 a brickworks stood at Hawkenbury Farm. Ordnance Survey mapping after that time shows that the works expanded significantly and was accompanied by the construction of buildings and kilns. By 1936 the works had probably ceased operating.
