Full Description
A stone, single-arched bridge exists on the path between the gate to Boxley Abbey and Sandling Lane. It is wide enough for a cart to pass and has been suggested as perhaps being an original medieval structure and part of the Boxley Abbey estate. The bridge and path are shown on early Ordnance Survey maps. 'Wier' type steps exist in the stream bed below the bridge. Features to the north of the bridge may represent building foundations.
