Full Description

Adlington Mill is mentioned in 1086 and then finally in 1269-70. The Mill does not appear on the 1st edition OS Map (1862-75). (1) RJ Spain believed the mill to have been located near the pond. (1)

A pond (TQ 85 NW 352) visible on the Heritage Tithe Map and 1st and 2nd edition OS maps at the site may have been associated with the mill. (2, 3)
