Full Description
A detached watch house, associated with the gate house of Marsh Gunpowder Works and probably of the same date (both were there by 1840). (1)
Watch house at the Marsh Gunpowder Works, constructed by 1920 and shown on a plan of the works by Nobels Explosives Co. Ltd in 1920 as building 103. A survey as part of the RCHME Faversham's Explosives Industry Project in 1991, found the building extant but partially derelict (Building 13 - RCHME ground photographs 164/H/5 and 164/K/25). It was a single storey brick building with a tiled roof. A wooden lantern at the apex of the roof may have acted as a lookout postion. (1-2)
