Under the Protocol for Reporting Finds of Archaeological Interest agreed between the dredging industry and government, dredged materials are examined at Northfleet Wharf. Interesting items are then reported to the Historic Environment Record.

It should be emphasized that no accurate location exists for these discoveries - they come from the south coast dredging region.
