Full Description
A range of residual mesolithic flint was found in the central and western parts of site B of the A2 widening scheme excavations. This flint included a rod microlith in a pit, a narrow blade, a single platform pyramidal core of bullhead flint and a probable tranchet axe or adze fragment. Several blades and blade like flakes, as well as micro-burins, were recovered from a scatter of probably middle Neolithic material (1)
