Monument record TR 34 NW 1 - An Anglo Saxon grave, Sutton Downs, Sutton, Dover
Summary
An Anglo-Saxon / early Medieval grave discovered c.1876, next to a cart track to Winkland Farm. Apparently it held Anglo-Saxon beads and iron objects.
The site lies on a north facing slope of the Sutton Downs (chalk ridge) at OD 70m. Sutton Parish church lies 800m to the north.
