Borough Green, general area: at least two Palaeolithic handaxes in museum collections, circumstances of recovery unknown, recorded by Roe in the 1960s (1) then listed in the Southern Rivers Project in the 1990s (2). TQ 6157 Findspot of a Lower Palaeolithic handaxe in Folkstone Beds geology. (2)
