Full Description
Ash, New Ash Green: surface finds in late 19th century of numerous Palaeolithic handaxes, mostly ovate (1, 2, 3); collections in several museums recorded by Roe in the 1960s, especially in British Museum (4) Findspot of 66 Lower Palaeolithic handaxes, two roughouts, two cores, five retouched flakes, 16 flakes and one Levallois flake. (5)
