Full Description

Ightham, general area: numerous imprecisely-located Palaeolithic surface-finds, mostly handaxes, but also flakes, flake-tools and a possible Levallois flake; precise locations and circumstances of recovery unknown. Material held in various museums, especially British Museum and the Ashmolean, and recorded by Roe in the 1960s (1) TQ 594568 Findspot of Palaeolithic implements in Edge of Folkstone Beds geology. (2)
