Full Description

Kingsdown: two Palaeolithic handaxes held in British Museum, recorded by Roe in the 1960s (2), circumstances of recovery unknown (presumed surface-finds). One white-patinated sharp-pointed handaxe recovered as a surface-find in late 19th century (1), although uncertain whether this record relates to either of the handaxes seen by Roe (2).
