Full Description
`Margate, 6th October. A large ship, supposed from the West Indies, has just drove out of the Queen's Channel, and it is much doubted if she will be able to fetch the Downs.' (1)
A `violent gale of wind' reported from Deal the same day, in the subsequent paragraph; stated to be WSW, blowing hard, in the `Winds at Deal' column. (1)
