Full Description

Mollusc-rich brickearth reported at Gambrill's Pit, half a mile NW of The Bayle, from deposit interpreted as lacustrine/marsh, based on presence of Helix and Pupa (1). Uncertain whether this locality is the same pit described as " Mr Gambrill's Brick-pit at back of Sandfield Villas" (see KHCP4_M_12) (1).
