Full Description
An assemblage of four fragments of Late Middle Bronze Age to the Early Iron Age pottery and three struck flints were found in a silt layer in Evaluation Trench 1. One of the three flints is likely to be a residual broken Mesolithic blade and the other two are of Neolithic to Bronze Age date (a flake and core). Five fragments of burnt flint, one of fired clay and a small quantity of inidentifiable animal bone were also found in the same layer. (1)
