The partial remains of a minimum of ten structures were revealed in section during a watching brief which was carried out ahead of the redevelopment of a site at the junction of Spitalfield Lane and Sussex Road in New Romney, Kent. Structure 'F' appeared to belong to the third phase of construction at the site (A.D. 1350-1400). It was probably rectangular in plan, measuring at least 6m (though probably 8.5-9m) NE/SW and 2m (though probably 4.25m) NW/SE. It was positioned within house plot B (now Rosewood) close to its western boundary. The structural elements revealed comprised a clay floor one hearth, one beam slot, and one post/stake hole.
