Full Description

A four round oasts complex that appears on the 1st ed. (1862-1875), 2nd ed. (1897-1900), 3rd (1906-1923) and 4th ed. (1906-1952) OS and modern maps.

Dwelling at Whetsted Farm with a central two-storey building with four oast houses attached. The central building is of brick, although whitewashed, and has had modern windows inserted. The oast houses remain in their original red brick and have been converted to domestic use also. The building is thought to date to the 18th or 19th century. The building's name is taken from a Romany caravan positioned outside the building.
