Full Description

'The MINERVA, Blanice, from Bengal to London, is got into Ramsgate with loss of anchors and cables. The CASTOR, Salkeld, from Bengal, having been run foul of in the Downs by the MINERVA, Blaney, is on shore near Ramsgate. The cargo is expected to be saved.' (1)

The GOLDEN FLEECE, Smith, was reported as arrived at Gravesend on the 14th, 'from the CASTOR Indiaman.' (4)

CASTOR, in service 1796-1798, 467 tons. No further information. (5)
