Twin round oasts, at the eastern end of the building, appear on 1st (1862-1875) and 2nd (1897-1900), a third round oast appears on the 3rd (1906-1923) and 4th ed. (1929-1952) OS map. These seem to have been lost and twin square oasts built on the western end of the building appear on the modern map, post 1950.
Ranscombe Farm is mentioned in records from at least AD 1100. The present farm is shown on the tithe map (1837-1858).
