Full Description
Anglo-Saxon features including domestic rubbish pits, three timber lined wells and probable boundary ditches at St Gregory's Priory. This evidence is suggested to be related to Anglo-Saxon occupation of the area. Pottery is also recorded in the vicinity and dates the site to between 410-1050 AD, however, as it is unclear whether it is residual and how much pottery was discovered and where, it has not been recorded as an artefact.
The features were mentioned in the background information on local sites in a desk-based assessment of 125-127 Northgate Canterbury. (1)
