Full Description

Possible medieval/post-medieval ploughsoil/buried topsoil was excavated in 2017 at St Edmund's School, Canterbury. The two layers of ploughsoil/topsoil were described as "mixed brown-orange clay", and "moderate grey-yellow sandy clay silt. Rare small to medium rounded flints" (from the original report, 1). No finds were recovered from the layers.
Medieval kilns and a manorial site are recorded in the local area surrounding the site. (1)
