Full Description

1st-2nd century features and finds were excavated at 18 New Street, Canterbury in 2001. A small group of stake holes and a single post hole (with combined diameters of 0.06-0.19m, and depths of 0.07-0.16m) were located beneath a layer containing a small quantity of late Iron Age/early Roman pottery. Later activity at the site was evidenced by early medieval agricultural features (TR 15 NW 2631) and post-medieval construction and demolition deposits associated with residential dwellings at the site.(1)
