"Captain and 3 men drowned." (1) "...six of the crew and the mate saved by Ramsgate boats, the captain and two men stayed aboard and were drowned, the vessel going to pieces. Empty sugar casks, hogsheads of sugar, dye woods and several hats were found floating..." (2) United Kingdom Shipwreck Index gives the name as JUFFROW JACOBA, and states that the vessel was lost in the vicinity of South Sand Head.
