Full Description

`Ramsgate, 13th Nov. During the greater part of last night and this morning it has blown a very heavy gale from the SW...' (1)

`The EDWARD, Falconer, from Shields to Plymouth, struck against the East Pier, Ramsgate, yesterday, during a violent gale at SW and went to pieces. Crew saved.' (1)

`Ramsgate, Nov. 13. During the greater part of last night and this morning, it has blown a heavy gale from the NW...The brig EDWARD, of Montrose, Falkner, master, with coals from Shields for Plymouth, struck the East Pier, and drove to the back of the East Head; she is since gone to pieces; fortunately, by the exertions of the people on the Head, all the crew were saved.'
