`The CRAIKE CASTLE, Craike, with coals from Shields for London, overset at Gravesend and is lost.' (1)

`Newcastle, May 21...This week, the CRAIKE CASTLE, Captain Craike, from this port with coals for London, overset at Gravesend, and was lost.' (2)

NB: This vessel appears to have been recovered and partially rebuilt at London to return to the same trade, since an advertisement appears later the same year, for the sale of the "good ship CRAIKE CASTLE, lately lengthened and completed at the Port of London, now lying at Shields ready for loading." (3)
