Full Description

`The JOHN AND PHILIP, Sterling, of and for Plymouth from London, is ashore on Sandwich Flats, and it's feared will be lost.' (1)

Source (2) identifies the JOHN AND PHILIP with the unknown vessel reported ashore on the Flats in the previous issue of Lloyd's List:
`On the 16th instant in the night, was drove ashore near Sandwich Flats, a ship in ballast, but can't get her name this post.' (3)

Source (2) spells the name of the vessel as JOHN AND PHILLIP, and gives the date of loss as 18-NOV-1755.
