`Sheerness, 3rd March. The TOMS of Woodbridge is on shore bottom up between this and Minster.' (1)

`Sheerness, March 3. A great deal of damage has been done to the shipping near this place, somehaving been lost, and others lost their anchors and cables, etc. Among them are the following: The TOMS, of Woodbridge, was driven on shore, bottom upwards, crew supposed to have perished.' (2)
