Full Description
Cinema opened 15 October 1934 to designs by P V Levett. In May 1935 it was taken over by the Odeon circuit but three years later it was leased to an independent, H Godwin Longthorn. The cinema was subleased to Sax Cinemas in January 1939 but was closed as a result of bomb damage on 1 November 1940. It was subsequently modernised and re-opened on 3 August 1950 as an Odeon. The cinema closed in 1956 and was later used as a discotheque before it was demolished. The site is now occupied by the Serene Court block of flats (1-2)
