Full Description
Undated quarries or deneholes were identified on land at Cockering Farm, Thanington during a geophysical survey in 2017 and an excavation in 2021 and 2022. Excavation determined that some of the quarries initially identified on the geophysical survey dated to the medieval period (TR 15 NW 2624), however, the other features remain undated. Two of the excavated pits measured 14.70x8.71x1.34-1.50m. (1)
